Everything else she says was just fluf... and "why are they trying to sell you the job, your already here?" This was in 08'. LOL
There's ups and downs (no pun intended) but it's a nice option.

There are moments of boredom but for the most part if you can EASILY swing the time off with your wife, it is worth the trip.
The meet and greet at Sonnys is a good time usually for the wives as well.

How solid is the airframe drop on this schedule. I suspect it is not at all. When you get the call for training, when can you find out what the iron drop is. Do you have to wait until day one of class, or can you find out prior. I ask because I'd be willing to defer a class in order to get a better chance at a 320.

You will find out on day one or two of class. Judging from your call sign this would be your first airline? If not sorry for the insinuation, but never pass up a class date for a plane... Seniority is everything. One number could be the difference in keeping your job or being unemployed. If you don't like the plane your on, take mil leave for 2 years then bid the 320. Passing up what could be many a seniority number so you don't have to fly the "small" plane is stooopid. Not to mention you may be junior in your class and not get what you want anyhow.

Mine loved the sim, she had the days off anyway and we live in Orlando. I don't think traveling to MCO is worth it though. Most brought their kids and made a Disney trip out of it too.

I'm picking the plane based on quality of life! My bet the 190 is the way to go.

I have a 2 year old. What is the plan for kids that age when the family activities are happening? Is he allowed to be around? Way about the evening greet at Sonnys; I don't have a sitter in the MCO area.

With a 2 year old and the new insurance to come you can't afford to work here. You are better off waiting for an airline with better benefits.
