How overstaffed is JFK A320FO? I'm guessing by those numbers classes my continue (albeit small ones) past Sept, unless they're hoping those A320FOs bid over to another base....

I think JFK 320 FO has almost leveled out since the last bid award had lots of them transferring out. By my count they are overstaffed by 3

Yea overstaffed was strong I guess. Maybe just not understaffed like all the other bases.

I know this is a tough question to answer, but when do you think some more off the street hiring will occur? Early next year? Summer of next year? Up until a few weeks ago, the rumors were that the guys swimming in the pool would be swimming till next year. Now these classes are starting up again. Hopefully some more hiring soon!

I know this is a tough question to answer, but when do you think some more off the street hiring will occur? Early next year? Summer of next year? Up until a few weeks ago, the rumors were that the guys swimming in the pool would be swimming till next year. Now these classes are starting up again. Hopefully some more hiring soon!
That's anyone's guess, my money is 2014 at the earliest. Complete speculation though.

Approx 120-130 in the pool as far as I know. Best case scenario we hire ~15/mo and the pool is drained by April (might be Feb-Mar considering some have already found other employment). Typically jetblue slows or shuts down hiring during the summer, so that would put new interviews at late summer 2013, and classes beginning again Sept 2013 at the earliest.

This is all just a WAG from what I have seen so far with the past hiring spree, so take it FWIW

I still haven't been called, or heard of anyone else that has. Have there in fact been calls made for class dates?I was told that I'm #5, I'm hoping the lineup hasn't changed. Has anyone else heard of any calls or more info?

At least some of the calls have gone out for the August 29th class (5 pilots). Evidently there are some different criteria as to exactly where you fall in pool. Depending on how you were sourced for your interview can move you up (i.e. current employee, blue dart etc) I'm not sure exactly how the criteria works... maybe somebody inside can enlighten us. I do know that they are hiring from the October 13th, 2011 interview date.
