8/29 and 9/19 are the only classes schedulded so far, and 4-6 pilots per class. I am guessing we will see further classes scheduled after the September System Bid is processed. Bid opens first week of sept and should be processed by 3rd-4th week of the month.

Yep, so all those who are coming from Air Force, you have wasted your time, you should have joined CapeAir not US Air Force.

They are skipping guys who've been swimming for over a year to get a Gateway pilot in the first class? Seriously?

Technically every newhire is a Gateway Pilot, just seems like some are shifted in front of others

We are scratching are heads as well; however, just think about it, if JB hires an experienced pilot right now, most likely this pilot will quit to go to a better deal, when such deal will present itself in near future. CapeAir guys will stay longer to acquire necessary experience, plus they will have no turbine PIC to show for for a loooooong time.

True, however, I don't think TPIC is really going to matter in the coming years.

It's still kind of lame that year-long swimmers are getting the shaft. I know a few that really want to be a Blue.

These guys have been in the pool as well. They worked at JetBlue through the gateway program for 2.5 years at some point. Then they went to Cape Air got the required hours and came back and interviewed got in the pilot pool and then got bumped to the front. They followed the rules of the program now they get their reward, these guys have been groomed tone JB pilots since they went to their universities.

Not saying they didn't earn it, but did they interview last year when the rest of the pool did?

Yes but they got moved to the front of the pool. They weren't necessarily the first to interview. Which would be the normal order.

You're thinking of a different gateway. These 2 guys are not prior JB employees.
