Thanks. When did you interview? Any information about those in your group?

Interviewed 2 weeks ago. Nothing happens until the decision board some time mid November...good luck on your interview. It seems like an awesome place to work!

Haha, yes I have some advice. They don't care, seriously. However, most in my group were sporting red. You will be the only ones there that are in a suit. If you look good in pink, rock it with pride!

Good luck! References called or anything happening? Nothing here... pretty much think it's a no-go for me. 3 of 6 in our group had references called. It was a great experience though..... very relaxed and fun.

Heard that some have been invited for drug test, but no references called. Seems kind of strange.

This has happened to some people. No idea what is going on out there! We will all know around the 15th though.

what mechanism did you use to collect weather/runway info for each of your choices given that is is a cardboard cockpit? "ACARS" (as in, "I'm sending a message to dispatch askin for weather and notams for these airports" or, ask ATC, or ask the FO to call for them?

Same with runway numbers? Does SWA still use the laptop? If so, can you ask the JS to look up landing numbers?

Just trying to imagine how best to get all of the info you need to make a good decision within the 7 minute time frame.

I believe there info is fairly scripted. As an example, if you ask the F.O. to ask ATC what the closest airports are with weather above minimums he will come back with a scripted answer giving you the available airports and their current weather. Same goes for asking the cabin crew or dispatch for info, they will give everyone the same scripted answers to most general info questions. I must add that this info is to the best of my recollection because my interview was multiple years ago. Some of the recent interviewees may provide more accurate and up to date info.

You know the old saying that you give a better interview in the car on the drive home? Yeah, that.

Ugh! (Face palm):(

Drug tests happen after the decision board--why waste $ on a test for someone you may not hire? Might want to check the source of the rumor of people being told to get drug tests at this stage in the game.

Drug tests are happening for some before the board. I know personally of two asked to do the drug test already.
