Break up each assignment as a separate job. It gives you more opportunity to give details for each assignment about how awesome you are. Your application score will go up.

I don't know how they look at the GPA in regards to who gets called but I know some of the military guys in my indoc class who did go to an academy had 2.5-2.8 or so GPA. I also have friends from college with 3.6 and one with 4.0 and still haven't heard anything.

However, the topic of Unions can be volatile these days and those in the interviewer seats come from various positions within a given Company.

Again, any insight from those having experience with either hiring for these Company's or having held such a position and either been hired or passed over would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Wilk,
I was just hired by Delta last month. I have held both positions as a negotiator and officer in my current airline union. Not only did I get the job, but I firmly believe that the service helped me get the interview. Definitely NOT a negative. Just be sure to keep a positive tone whenever you are discussing your union work.

Hey vyper, what was the background breakdown on those hired/not hired? Any idea what those not selected struggled with?

4 fans...2 were CRJ 200 regional Capts and they had issues with the interview, 1 KC-135 fella had issues in the interview and 1 KC135 guy had a test issue and was invited back. Im not sure what the interview issues where. Everyone seemed very nice and qualified. They dont tell you what aspects of the interview you didn't pass, but the interview is scored on a ruberic so some may have missed it by just a smidgen or bu a wide margin. If you want anymore specifics on prep work PM me and I'll do what i can to help you out. Hired were at least 3 fighter guys, 1 Navy test pilot, RJ Capt, T-38 IP, 747 FO, 1 Heavy USAF (dont recall his acft). All very qualified and really neat fellas.
