Keep the positive mental attitude and even if you don't have the invite, start preparing because an invite is inevitable.
I think I may have taken your job in West Africa . Maybe I will get to follow you to the mother ship..

Volunteer 2 times a week at a hospital

Looking forward to getting my 121 wings.

CJO at UAL this week, interviewed 2/5, app in for 1yr.

13900 hrs.
5 type ratings 1 widebody
10000 TPIC.

Reno, What was your availability date? Just trying to understand how far out from availability folks are getting the first contact.

Also, what did you have for internal recs? Based on what I've seen on this forum, that is a really quick call after application for 2000 p-3 hours. That seems more like fighter hours territory.

JDF16: Availability was 01Mar15 when I hit send on the apps, as that's the earliest possible day I could go terminal. I updated it to actual after the interview date was set.
4fans: 2x internal recs from FOs. 1 has been flying there 7 yrs or so, the other is a new hire just off probation. Both were very nicely written. I had few more on standby but didn't need them so didn't pull the trigger. Gouge was that an internal rec triggers an immediate review of the app, so I was saving the last few for closer to the actual terminal leave date.

First applied in 2012 and updated monthly since.

Projections on when I might be competitive enough to have a shot at a Major?

6100 TT
5200 Turbine
1800 Jet
1850 Turbine PIC (About 80 of that is Jet PIC)
4 Year degree
Two turboprop types
Three biz jet types
91 / 135 pax and cargo/ and Fractional Experience


I had slacked off on updating my apps because I thought I was going to hang a hat at the fractionals but that idea has passed. I will be updating frequently at this point.

You're competitive now. Unfortunately there is more than 5000 guys, minimum, that are also competitive.
