But seriously, at DL, it's more about attitude, not TT. That's why they pay the shrink.
What was it our VP Flt. Ops said?
Oh yeah:
"Stay Humble."

Haha, sounds like my pilot training instructors who said "you gotta eat your humble pie" Of course the other big part of that is patience. Seeing as overall across all the majors in the past year, we haven't even reached 1,000 new hires yet. And with 10,000+ looking, its all about patience and working to distinguish yourself somehow if you don't have "astronaut" qualifications. Job fairs, networking, etc. Based on these stats, I don't understand why people get angry that they haven't been hired. The industry has collectively screwed us all, so its not personal . In the meantime, be patient NOW, and be humble, especially in your interview.

Medical question
Quick question, my first class medical has two waivers, eye glasses and medication for high blood pressure. Would these have any effect on my employment potential? I'm only 37, would I be seen as a risk etc?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Forunately they were kicked to the curb and we no longer pay big bucks for needless harassment by people far outside the scope of their expertise.

Are you sure that medication for High Blood Pressure would be considered a waiver on your medical? I have the same 2 issues, however the eyeglasses issue is listed as a "limitation" not a "waiver." The medication for blood pressure is just something that is written on your medical application, but nowhere on your actual medical certificate should it say anything about this.

Not sure if it's a waiver or limitation, actually haven't even started taking it yet. If it was going to effect my employability at all, I will wait until I have a job. If not, I will probably start taking it now.

Not sure you are an AOPA member, but it might be worth it to talk to their aeromedical department and have your issues' confidentially answered by one of their consulting AMEs. I do not have any names off the top of my head, but I know there are AMEs out there who like pilots and will do what it takes to sort out any issues with OKC direct, rather than throw you under the bus and let you figure it out on your own.
