All hired without issues at DAL, Continental, NWA, United, FedEx, UPS, SWA, JB, Spirit, Frontier, etc etc The only one missing is AA (that I know of) But some went to Eagle after the 250hr, so I am sure they would get in with the flow through.
Those of us that did not do that program, listened to pessimistic opinions, and stayed behind as CFIs, had much tougher, and longer time to get into any major. Now the ones that did go to Gulfstream PFT are our senior Captains or even Check Arimen.
I can also tell you that the money I spent for my CFI CFII and MEI, plus the rest spent to supplement the low income derived by those ratings, easily adds up to more than the Gulfstream PFT.
Too late now, plus those times are gone, with the 1500 requirement, but if I could go back, I would definitely jump start my career, I just did not have the right guidance. Now that I think of it, lot of the guys that did the program were sons of airline pilots. They knew better.

I know personally a bunch of them, since so many went there from my flight school.

I was at Pinnacle and worked with a pile of them. None got hired at DL until this latest cycle with the SSP, nor did any get on at NW or CO. I didn't hear about any at FDX or UPS, either. Plenty ended up at the LCC's (the only ones remaining from my newhire class still at 9E are streamers).

Same thing for FedEx, UPS, SWA etc etc.
I am saying directly from GIA into those. Not even passing from another regional.
"Our" as for those of us that did not do the program.

Like I said, I know personally of at least one hired directly into DAL, forget passing through Pinnacle. Now he is a 757 Captain.

Must be another airframe then. But he was hired in 2007 and he just upgraded. If you are so good with inside info, I am sure you can find out who came to DAL in 2007 and from where. Must have been in the spring. So it should be easy for you. And go ahead and ask about any other airlines I mentioned too. You will find out any of those hired directly from GIA.

No. Obviously not. That does not change anything. Me and my close friend all went the CFI route. After that some went to the regionals, some went to 135. I belong to the latter, the most miserable.
Besides I have an hard time remembering what and when I fly myself.
Who cares? I still wish I could go back in time and save both time and money with any PFT. Was it GIA, Avatar, or whatever else.
If you are so curious of what plane did he upgraded with, I can find out. In the mean time, you can ask around and verify that yours and any other airline, legacies and majors, did hire pilots directly from GIA
The supposed PFT stink was a myth that never existed in real life.
