Alaska Airlines win 8th consecutive JD Power
#41
8 years in a row? As a regional airline that is impressive. Apples and oranges when compared to a true major airline and the complex business structure to do well and serve the customer. AS is a regional airline with a small fleet. A great regional airline in fact. The metrics belong in the skywest realm. WN is not even in that metric. If AS was anywhere near comparable in all metrics based on complexity of operation and scale, now that would be a feat they have accomplished. Otherwise, W T F ?
But what the heck the public is easily swayed!
There is always next year!

I flew for a regional they are better in a lot of ways except career expectations. To each his own.

Congrats to Alaska.
What I find interesting is the overall big picture. The range of values were 719 to 665 on a 1000 point scale. That's not a lot of variance (if that's the correct term). I wonder why the passenger airline industry struggles to achieve good customer approval ratings?

I think you missed the point. The airlines are not the same. when one airlines passengers are concentrated in one geographic area etc, why would anyone expect those samples to be anything but biased. Give a bubba a biscuit and only sample Atlanta I am certain the numbers would skew another way.

Congrats to Alaska and my favorite, jetBlue. Love how the haters who love to pee in other people's Cheerios NEVER miss a chance to take a cheap shot. Pay them no mind 2loud....it's just sour grapes at its best (or is that "worst?")

The way I see it Delta should have an advantage. International is where an air line's service shines. Domestic service is always substandard to international service and yet Alaska out scored Delta.
It's funny that a JD power award causes you to crap on our career expectations. I suppose that's what you need to do to feel better about your self.

Congrats to AS. I actually like that they won (ever so barely) over DL. Keeps us on our toes and keeps the company pushing to get even better. DL was among the most improved and only barely below AS and the NorthWestern front has barely gotten started.

Think about this before you get to excited about our assault in the "NorthWestern front". Alaska has successfully smashed multiple carriers from expanding their operations out of Seattle, with United being the most prominent. Remember what happened to us in Dallas? I wouldn't classify that as a successful operation or outcome. I wouldn't celebrate a perceived notion of success at this time.
