getting back to the issue....here is some interesting reading"see below" not saying i believe it.. just interesting......and A320...we have many african american pilots at FDX...as well as from all walks of life..in fact we have hired the first black female pilot here at FDX a couple of years ago...does your airline?..i think not...i responded to this thread in the fact that with all the stuff going on in the industry now a white male without PIC turbine time probably will not get hired...and being a white male is especially hard..not because of anything else other than competition..walk into any crewroom and u see whitey..am i right?...i personally know minorities at fdx who were hired without the quals that were set as minimums...no big deal...diversity is good...and i would not shake hands with any klanmaster...but i have raced motorcycles against vanilla ice...

Yep. I wish they wouldn't hire without the requisite mins, there are enough qualified guys out there. I wish you guys would stress that to your HR and you might have to actively recruit to dispell Fedex's percieved corporate culture. Don't wish to re-stir the pot on this one. Hope you still have 28pts in you "Bird". I played in Newark for Weequaic, sat the bench. Godspeed.

I figured you'd guys would try the personal attack. I do love children, but not in the context of which you speak. I told the wife a childish attack was coming and I was right.

As far as Vanilla Ice, well, sorry folks but he could rap ... then again I like Tom Jones so maybe my ears are tainted. Things started going down hill for Rip when he lied about sampling that one Queen/ Bowie song, "Under Pressure." One of the most famous base lines in history.

I don't care who you are, that's funny. Captain Mark, Flappy, B Sweeny, you gents have a good one. I'll look for you boys this summer. I shouldn't be hard to miss. Just look for the BIG BLACK
Softail Classic with a 101st Airborne type screaming Eagle airbrushed on the tank. See ya around.

Haven't you figured it out? It will never be good enough and there will always be someone to tear another down. The perps are always out to stir up hate and discontent.

Wow god forbid I stay online and keep checking to see if anyone has replied to the question I asked, that would be irrational. And as for a fast reply to the original question.....it is a forum. In case you did not know at different times on different days there are more people logged on than other times. I could see if the dude replied to my question within a minute AND had paragraphs to say; that actually would freak ME out. Anyways......

I myself am shocked at all the replies this question has received and the direction the thread has gone. All I was looking for was a few answers from a few different angles and in a sense I guess I did receive just that. If there are a few shortcuts I can use to make my life easier, then you'd better bet I'm going to try them. I am playing to WIN, I am not trying to play nice or fair. And if there are no ways I am able to shorten my road to the big planes/airlines then I guess I'll have to "play by the rules". Anyways.....yeah...that's all I wanted. On the other hand I do find it very interesting....the views some people may have about minorities, especially me being one myself.
