United does not require the 2000 hours of pic time at commutair either like they do at xjt.

I don’t think that the commutair cpp looks the same at all.

Actually XJT does NOT require 2000TPIC! It's either 3000 hours at XJT or 2000 TPIC. Not as long for new hires to be called into the CPP as others say.

Not as long?

3000 hours would take atleast 4 if not 5 years, No?

I agree. Some are thinking that someone hired today at XJT are looking at a minimum of 6-7 years before they would flow to UAL if they pass the CPP. I would say 3-5 years for most. If they already have TPIC time that could lower the time. The actual "pool" of CPP candidates is not that large as many think.

This is a Mesa forum. He is commenting that the hour requirement is the same at Xjet as Mesa.

We all know CommutAir is knocking the CPP out of the park as far as getting pilots hired at United.

3,000 hours is just over 3 years at Mesa.

Very few fly 1000 hours of actual flight a year. But hey, that is possible at any airline.

We are pretty close each year (its only a little over 83 hours per month). 83 hours per month is nothing on our schedules. Min credit was 80 hours this month and 79 hours next month.

You are not going to get 1000 hours your first year at any airline. Sounds like Mesa has a long delay for completion of training. Going to take closer to 4 years.

With the large number moving to United from XJT, (20-30 a month) I wonder what is going to happen when they reach the people in the CPP that don't have the flight time requirements. It will be interesting because it's a contractual percentage each month...

They will pass them up and defer them until they have the time. As far as “contractual” percentage.......there is no contract. In the event that they reach that point, I’m sure they will do what suits their needs.....period.
