They’re getting interviews! The interviews are scheduled at the end of September and beginning of October.

You could get hired sooner, buy going through the outside. I know a few guys that got hired quicker going through the outside, than waiting for UA to call. So it's up to you, which way to go.

It depends. We should know soon how long the wait is for a new hire at Mesa. CommutAir is just over 2 years past doh.

From my experiences with fully qualified candidates, it's really hard to get an interview with United. IMO, it's not quicker to get hired going elsewhere at this point. Most of the low time people or "barely at the regional" that get hired with United are exceptions to the rule.

I am not sure how many 20+ year people are going to want to go to the right seat at a new base. But, you are correct, while CommutAir is just over 2 years, Xjet is nearly a 10 year wait.

One of the problems with flow throughs, or though a good selling point for your company, is that, they can have a great deal effect on your company. They can absorb a number of pilots, from you're company that will impact the operations, or they can slow it down. Just depends what they want to do.

Just talked to my IAD buddy having an interview next week @ United.

Plus there is at least another MESA Captain that is going or went already.

Some People Just don't Get It!

The funniest thing happened the other day, when I was jumping seating on AA. So, me and this Fedex, Capt (777) were jump seating on AA. We were all talking BS, like always. And this FO, and you can tell, he just came up from the commuters asked the FedEx Capt, why is he flying freight? Capt says, well, I flew for the airlines, but I like the time off we get at Fedex. I, don't really fly that much, sometimes just one leg, and the money is good. This new FO then says, "oh, I wanted to be a professional pilot, that's why I chose the airlines" we just looked at ourselves and busted our laughing. The AA Capt says to the guy, " you're an idiot" I was dieing laughing.
I thought guys like that were just stories, until I came across this guy. That's the best jump seating I ever had.

Please, don't be that guy.
