Thumbs up BNA Base?

Hello, folks!
I have been hearing a rumor on Mesa flying Embraers out of BNA in the near future. Who is that for? UA or US Air? EMB-175 or 145? How many aircrafts and crew?
I was wondering if someone could elaborate on this rumor.
Thanks in advance.

Supposedly PF at one of the big instructor meetings recently said that United was happy with Mesa's numbers and wanted 'em to put in a bid for flying 10 aircraft. The word is 145's. Nobody knows when or where tho.

Yea, and to back up TurboFan, around my campfire it was said that it's confirmed that they're goin to the Dirty Bird first and then as attrition continues, RJ seats will open up.

So you you believe the rumor from PF cause after all he is trustworthy? Not. Have you ever heard of propaganda? Just maybe this could be it? Do you think more or less people would come back if they believed this rumor?
Did they disclose this information with the BK judge? then not true right now. Everything goes through BK court. How would they even staff this? A word to the wise here at Mesa don't believe everything you hear from Mesa MGMT.

"Enjoy" the rumor just don't believe the rumor.

He never said he believed the rumor, he simply stated what the rumor is.

Wooha! Calm down, Like TF said, he beat me to it, I was throwing out a rumor that I heard, no more or less. Sounds like you need to go crack a beer and collect yourself.

Don't know Paul Foley from Adam, just know that he was high up at Mesaba and now Mesa. Deep breaths, count to ten... ok, exhale. I'm pulling for Mesa, (the pilots and employees) as apposed to some on these boards.

I dont know why anybody would want to return to the beat down that is Mesa. During my last days there on RSV i was kicked in the crotch on a daily bases and harassed by incompetent mgt. I can understand if there was a complete flush of MGT with a totally new corporate culture. To each its own i guess.

Good flying, with good folks. The grass isn't always greener elsewhere, any place you work is partly what you make it. I can understand why going back might not be the first choice for some, but for me, I've had worse jobs (albeit not many for less money..LOL ) and since I do like most of the folks I've worked with both in the "front office" and FAs, going back isn't among the worst decisions I could make. Even on reserve, the crew trackers weren't bad, they were just doing their job (a power-tripper or two occasionally, but not the rule).

Regional Airline Management doesn't seem to be too much different anywhere, I suspect that should the regionals pilots get ALPA onboard with a view to end "whipsawing" (and I get sparkly ponies for Christmas) things might improve a bit. Seriously, I suspect that things like the 1500 hour rule (no exceptions for "big" flight schools, please) will eventually lead to improvements in pay and other things as the airlines have to keep us around and treat us as Professionals, because there is no longer a pool of half-a**ed 250 hour wonders who can't pick up a clearance properly but are sure that instructing is well beneath their lot in life.

Bottom line for me anyhow, is that I miss the job, I miss the flying and the folks I worked with and I'll go back and probably become an ALPA volunteer to try and make it a better place to work for everyone there now and everyone who follows down the road.

UA is not going to add 50-seat feed unless they lose their scope battle with CAL-ALPA.
