Let's keep this forum on track, gentleman.
It does of little service to those looking for Mesa info to have to muddle through these unrelated posts.

Hey guys here's a few questions I haven't been able to find answers to.
Does Mesa provide single occupancy hotel room in training?
Is Mesa planning to offer a signing bonus or any other type of incentive in the near future?
When will the bases for the 175 be formally announced?
Will new hires have any influence over what equipment they get assigned? (I don't care which plane I fly but I am interested in certain bases)
Does Mesa participate in the KCM program?
Does Mesa have Long Call Reserve and if so how does it work?
How are your lines being effected by 117? Average days off, commutability, etc.
Thanks!

Hey guys here's a few questions I haven't been able to find answers to.
Does Mesa provide single occupancy hotel room in training?
-Yes.
Is Mesa planning to offer a signing bonus or any other type of incentive in the near future?
-Nothing as far as anyone I know has heard.
When will the bases for the 175 be formally announced?
-Unofficially IAH/ORD but I would guess official announcement in the early spring.

-You get whatever they need you in at the time of your class. That being said you may be able to "choose" a class date based on the equipment the class is going to be run for.
Does Mesa participate in the KCM program?
-Yes, but you have to pay for it not the company. $2.50 a month.
Does Mesa have Long Call Reserve and if so how does it work?
-Technically yes, but it is almost never awarded. They very rarely run staffed well enough to make it work.
How are your lines being effected by 117? Average days off, commutability, etc.
-Remains to be seen but it would be a safe bet to see a slight drop off in line credit and efficiency. As for days off and commutability I would guess they will not change noticeably. Expect 11 days off a month and if your commute is fairly short and easy to be able to do it on one but not both ends of most trips...when you get off reserve.
Thanks!

If I were to live in base how many days off could I expect? I want to fly as minimally as possible. If i could sit on reserve and get called a few time a month that would be just fine with me.

Since regional staffing is likely to less than what is required for the flying i doubt anyone will be sitting at home in a few months. We already see regionals that basically everyone has a line and the few on reserve fly on a constant basis.

If everyone is being scheduled to the contractual minimum than I would argue the contractual minimum needs to increase.

? You might want a different career path. You could expect min 11 off and even slightly senior guys on reserve who bid to be "called last" get crapped on. On reserve you will be eating the big sh*t sandwich...There already are plenty of "in base" pilots that want the same as you.
However at MAG getting off RSV and accruing seniority has gone very well those that have joined recently.

They make you pay for KCM? Wow, they're cheap.
