Heard that it was just announced in the training department that the next two classes (January & February) have been cancelled. Does anyone know anything about this?

Strange. I thought Mesa was lean on pilots at the moment.

RV5M are you still in the training pipeline? What are they saying?

Almost finished. Last I heard there was another class starting very soon and that they had groups lined up for the next couple months. Most of what I've overheard has been positive, but maybe something fell through recently.

Please tell me there's a whole mess of you guys ready to hit IOE with the PHX checkairmen! ...Because they held back all the best flying in JAN for you guys and we couldn't bid it! ...If you don't fly it - it will dump into opentime

I think the first of almost 50 will start IOE at the beginning if January.

Good! and remember - don't fixate on the runway right in front of your nose. Look a little ways down as you transition into the flare - it really helps. Have fun!!!

I am about to finish training myself but heard this from a friend who is in ground now. Apparently someone came into class yesterday and said the January and February classes have been cancelled. I am hoping that there was just a miscommunication or misunderstanding since I would really like to keep building seniority. Not to mention the implication that something unexpected must have happened to cause such a reaction. Either way I was just looking for further confirmation or insight.

I can think of lots of mundane reasons to postpone classes but to cancel them without any explanation is disturbing. Perhaps some financing fell through?
