Any idea how to get through to Mesa? They called me over 10 days ago after getting my app, but I missed the call. I've called back about every other day since, and no one answers the phone. Is this normal?

It absolutely happens.
Flying isn't just about stick and rudder. I'd take a poor stick and rudder guy every day as long as he was good at making decisions under pressure and had some integrity. The most dangerous guys out there are overconfident people who don't follow the rules.
Have you even flown the RJ yet? I know the training is very, very, understanding but might want to save it until you've at least passed a ride.

Did I say someone who cannot fly the airplane? I said a "poor stick and rudder pilot", not "someone who can't fly".
Y'all Mesa types need to skip the sensationalism and actually read a bit.

Mesa officially kicked off LAX900 operations today .... IAH,PHX,OKC,TUS,SJC,DFW to name few. Some good runs it looks like.
