Thanks DJ. This is the info I was looking for. I told the recruiter that I will take the 9/4 class in PHX. it sounds like it will be all 121 guys like me in it.

The EJET is not exclusively for prior 121 guys. Our class has a 135 guy, a CFI and an army helo guy.

So now that you can't take the ATP written without some form of training (so I hear) will that play a big part in this pilot shortage or will airlines just do the training themselves? Thx

I never have to do Ready as I bid CML and I'm the most senior guy.

Also where are people award RS4? I have never seen that awarded or offered in the ORD or IAD bases.
CLT has had RS4 from 7P-7A in months where they have CDOs.

That will keep bringing people over to the left seat expeditiously. I think the real limitation here is pilots; if the shortage comes to fruition, and they can't hire more, they won't be able to make everyone a Captain. This is all conjecture, but I have fun toying around with these forecasts. Take it with a grain of salt.
.
I think there's some really good points made in this post.

Also, what mock bid are you referring to? I haven't heard of this.
Now THAT ladies and gentlemen is the one that holds the illusive airline pilot crystal ball.

NO ONE since the Wright brothers has been able to accurately predict this industry for any amount in the future. It is all based on wishful thinking.

Best of luck to us all.

Who would a thought they'd be scouring the regional pages spreading the good word outta Utah. Skywest is a regional chock full with 50 seat jets, brasilias, ASA/Expressjet, lengthy upgrades, regional lifers and beleibers. Skywest guys used to never even bother on this forum but now these guys are everywhere trollin hard. What gives?

Maybe it's an attempt to keep those that are uniformed from going to work for JO at his bottom feeder pay and working conditions?

Default bases

What is going on these days as far as which bases are new-hires getting? I understand things are topsy-turvy what with ORD closing and DFW opening shortly and CLT closing (?) … but still, what's likely for a new-hire?
How long on reserve?

Do you know how many guys at SkyWest are ex Mesa? There is a lot, and they preach how horrible it is, and how low of a guy JO is. I've listened to quite a few stories from the LAMA guys. You should too, but hey congrats on the quick upgrade.

Why do continually troll the Mesa thread and bad mouth everything about them? You never have a positive contribution to any post. None of your comments add any value to any post in any way. Come back when you have a better attitude and something worth reading.
