1) Airways gate agent: "you work for Mesa why aren't you listed non-rev" (suspicions aroused)
2) Southwest Airlines: "oh hi Mesa trainee, cabin jumpseat only no probs, welcome aboard (if we have a seat)--luv you"

Typical. Anyone pointing out the glaring facts must've "washed out" of training.
I hope all you CFI's reading this thread see that 30-40% washout number. Is the shortcut worth a 30-40% chance your career will be forever tarnished?
It should really PO the current employees, the company can't afford a raise but can afford letting a tremendous number wash out of very expensive training.
The only reason Mesa does not interview is to get the otherwise unhireable in the door. It's not to save money on interviewing since they spend many times that in wasted training.
A-mazing.

Awwwww--so go work at Starbucks in Seattle or stop complaining like a sad little puppy who didn't get lucky enough to have a fast upgrade at Mesa.

Being a scab means crossing a picket line. There might happen to be pilots at the above carriers who have crossed a line at some point in their careers, but it is ignorant and asinine to call any entire pilot group "scabs."
Your post reflects your ignorance about what a scab is, and indicates to me that you're just a sad, disgruntled person who went through a 90-day program and is butthurt that their fast upgrade/fast-track to a legacy hasn't worked out the way you wanted it to.
I'm sorry.

I come on this thread to keep an eye on what's going on at Mesa, because they are SkyWests competition. I know we are competing for the same flying, so I enjoy hearing both sides of the story. I'm not here to bash. I'm on my second regional and would rather die in the right seat then start out at another regional. I get annoyed with the comments about how "quick upgrade" this and that. Not all of us will have the opportunity to upgrade fast but I still strongly believe other things like, level of education, volunteering, job fairs and connections will still get an RJ FO hired at a legacy. I'm not losing sleep over the quick upgrade at Mesa.
You mean you're not really here to crusade for the industry you only really care about keeping tabs on the competition? My whole reality has just been shattered.

FaceBiter if a psych professor at any University in the country looked at the frequency and tenor of your posts, they would almost certainly conclude that you have experienced some sort of perceived "wrong" by Mesa. It is very likely you're one of the people who came here and washed out and/or you were fired for some HR reason. It's so obvious. Please go away (sad implicit bro fist)

While your statement doesn't really warrant a reply, I will anyway... I have never had the slightest thing to do with Mesa and am very happy with my current position. Further I only made statements that are public knowledge, and in a neutral manner. The was no intent to bash Mesa. It is their company and they can run it as they see fit. One of the purposes of this site is to help each other by exchanging, hopefully factual, information; it is not to engage in bashing, Etc.
