You suck!!!

His viewpoints are perfectly valid and true for him. No need to tell him that he sucks. What he says is factual. I love my job at Mesa and agree with what he says. Things could be better and they certainly could be much worse!

Yeah, I was going to come one here and write a response but Ferris beat me to what I was going to say, word for word.

9 years? 6000 Turbine SIC? 3 Regionals?

Good lord man, start going to some of those JetBlue or Spirit open houses, like yesterday.

It all makes sense now... you're just another burnt out, jaded regional FO, who's either made a lot of bad decisions or had a lot of bad luck.

And I will make more money here, onto Captain pay at 17 months, at no other regional would I have upgraded this fast therefore accruing Captain pay this quickly.

Yes, pay for pay, contract vs contract, someone who spends exactly 4 years as an FO at MAG vs someone who spends exactly 4 years as an FO at someone like XJT, the XJT person is going to make more money. But it's never that black and white.

Well I am not even 30 years old and I already have paid off all of my student loans and bought my house for cash after selling my share of a business a couple years ago. I am 2 months away from completing my MBA and it looks like I will be upgrading in under a year at PSA, I had some bad luck in the past but this career is a marathon and I still have over 35 years left to go. I am pretty happy with life at the moment, 18 days off next month. Jetblue and Spirit do not interest me, its AA or Delta and that is it. After almost a decade commuting I finally drive to work and I will never go back to a long term commute. If you are happy at Mesa that is great, it seems like an okay place to build time and get out. My only point was it is hypocritical to talk trash about PSA or PDT when you are wishing for and predicting more aircraft at Mesa, especially given their history over the past 10 years or so.

Where was I ever hoping for or predicting, please tell me.

I am just passing on what I have been told by our CP and Training Dept.

I worked at RAH and let's just say I'll light the match if someone else pours the gasoline. I don't want BB, WH or any of his cronies to get anymore flying.

A wholly owned (Eagle) said no to concessions and AAG turned to another one of their wholly owned airlines (PSA) and those guys said Yes, screwing Eagle. Whatever makes you guys sleep at night by justifying this is your own problem.

The fact that Mesa gets paid less than PSA isn't the point. It's the ramifications of PSA saying Yes after Eagle said no, taking away any negotiating leverage Eagle had.

I could care less if Mesa gets anymore flying my upgrade is secured here as a middle of the list 175 Captain with the flying we are already getting.

Oh my, you just don't get it. You've made crap decisions and staying on this thread to argue them just tally's one more crap decision to your list. 3rd regional in, yet you're above it all. PSA threads just a couple clicks away.

Well that is where you are wrong, they had no leverage to kill despite what the average line pilot may think. If PSA said no for the third time the airplanes would have gone to Mesa or RAH or GoJets and it would have been PSA airplanes being transferred. Good luck on that "secure" future upgrade, hopefully Mesa doesn't lose another CPA before that happens.

PSA? Really, trying to turn the blame for Eagles loss on us. No way, PSA took concessions directly under cutting Eagle for more flying. Our contract was written in 2008 and concessions were brought up in 2010. We gave management the middle finger on that one!

Good luck working at AA. With your new contract and your low seniority. You might get that preferential flow through interview in seven years. Remember you have to wait your turn. With an average of 600 retiring each year over the next 7 years. That puts you on the back curve of the hiring boom. Delta would be your best bet. Good luck, sounds like you have had a rough road already.
