Thanks for noticing my benevolence... Never intended to go to the airlines, but after 3rd corporate job sold airplanes out from under me, looked for the best possible one to go to, and that was definitely not the one run by J.O.

What's a mesa 'standup'?

Yes, I do. Glass jet time seems to be the most valuable right now. I have a friend who got on at United this year with zero TPIC.

I can 100% guarantee you it wasn't because of the airplane he flew. Do you even realize how many guys out there have "glass jet" time? Your friend had some serious recs, did an internship, or was a girl.

It's a business plan JO uses to help keep costs down. The seats in the cockpit are removed and you must fly standing up. I found it easier to have one guy on the floor. I'd tell him which rudder to push with his hands.

JK. It's a continuous duty overnight. There's not enough time for a legal overnight, so it's two legs separated by less than 8 hours.

Example: Depart CLT at 2200 Arrive BFE 0000
Depart BFE at 0600 Arrive CLT 0800

It's not like he turned down, say, Skywest, so that he could fly the E175 or CRJ for Mesa. ;-)

This depends on where you are trying to apply, in america probably won't matter. Overseas? Some places a turboprop might as well be a seminole.

Not necessarily because of the fact it's a turboprop but the weight.
