It wasn't a stupid post, it was actually quite telling of how Mesa is run. Just wait until you actually start training and you'll understand what that post was referring to. Just think about yourself spending your hard earned money on an iPad, mount, etc while looking at the bar and nice view that JO has in his office. Mesa has a great group of employees and that's all that makes the place tolerable. Ask any pilot from another airline if they bought and paid for their iPad for company use.

What doesn't make sense is someone like you who hasn't turned a wheel in the industry telling others on a professional forum to **** off, calling them douche bags, or simply making some of the sophomoric posts that you've made.

Are you looking for someone to argue with you? Because it sounds like you've already made up your mind.

No, not at all haha. There's quite a bit of that going around already, plus I'm a bit of non-confrontationalist Just trying to get an idea as to specifics of what make Mesa a good/bad place to work. I'm not planning on hopping jobs, so I'm just trying to make the best educated decision that I can before going head first into it - hoping I don't get a concussion at the shallow end.

I would look at the airline that offers a base where you live, if possible. If not, pick the easiest commute. Other than that, they all vary in degrees of suck.

I think you should go to ExpressJet or Envoy.

If I was a college kid reading these forums, I would think a lot of us sound like douche bags.

Aviation attracts some uh interesting characters, I went to a non aviation Div 1 school, was in a house and never did the aviation thing until I got hired at RAH.

Some of these guys and gals I've met in the industry the last couple years uh.. let's just say I wouldn't be hanging out with outside of work.

Yeah, that seems to be the general consensus. Would you suggest moving if it meant a quicker upgrade? We've prepared for that eventuality, just wondering if it's actually worth it.

Spirit asks for a verification code "provided by your airline" to list for the jumpseat online. Does anyone know where I might find Mesa's code?

YV is our airline code. Lots of gate agents need this/don't know it.

I was with Mesa for ten years before I got fed up and quit back in 2008. At the time it seemed like it wasn't just Mesa but the entire industry that was going downhill, it was very demoralizing. I still love to fly though, and right now I'm looking at a possible crop spraying job for next season. I wouldn't touch another airline gig.
