Exactly. Not to discriminate, but it's in the interest of safety.

My danger zone weight I won't allow myself to eclipse is 200lbs. I am tall though.
I agree there are genetic and socioeconomic factors beyond one's control that contribute to obesity.

However, not everyone gets to be a space shuttle pilot. Not everyone gets to be an MD. Not everyone gets to be a Navy Seal...and in almost every other country on Earth, you don't get to be an airline pilot if your BMI/height-weight ratio/etc. exceeds specific standards.

I find it insane that the FAA requires flight crews to practice opening the hatches/doors on an annual basis, while ignoring the fact that a percentage of those pilots can't actually fit out of the hatch they have successfully opened...it's so hilarious it's sad.

A change of subject: as we're finally getting into the winter flying season, I just wanted to say "good luck" to the handful of entitled millenial new hires who think they have it all figured out, and that as soon as they upgrade (mad fast bro), they're going straight to United with 1,000 TPIC.

Some of the attitudes I've seen expressed recently by guys with 50 hours of 121 time make me think they're only an icy runway (or taxiway) away from getting violated at any time.

Nah, Capt. I got this 28 knot gusting xwind approach in blowing snow--I'll be fiiiine. If we gotta go around, just remember--I played FlightSim for, like, 60 hours on reserve in Dulles last week brah. And my Dad's got like, tons of money and bench presses a lot. So, respect...chill mane.

Since Mesa is a public trading company, don't they have to report the 7 CRJ900s coming from S America?....like soon?

Mesa is not publicly traded anymore. It is a privately held
company.

Nada.

1500+ hours, ATP typed in an E175 and has never flown an airplane in actual. Oh, and BTW this guy will upgrade the minute after he gets 1,000 SIC. Nothing to see here folks, move along.
I've never taken a dump at your moms house but when I get there I know what to do.
