Yeah. Supposedly we get new wings too. I bet for the price of rebranding (or hell, for just a fraction of the company party), we could have had KCM paid for by the company. I wish JO would announce at the party tonight that he will stop being such an ornstein and start paying for KCM.

 

Did you see that recruiting video? I wonder if there is a cost-benefit analysis done with that and raising pilot pay.

Since this being a Mesa thread and very little useful information is here between all the nonsense, maybe I can lend some.

I have been with Mesa since September. I came from 135 and wanted to get into the 121 world. It was quite a pay cut but in my opinion with the airline world as it is these days, the time to get back to a descent pay check wont take long at selective regionals. I made my choice of where to go like I were buying stock in the company. Short term and long term outlook, profitability potential, "potential" upgrade time, and quality of life among other things.

Training was great, the people in the training department really are there to get you through. They have the right attitude if you ask me. They wont hold your hand but if you put out the effort they are willing to spend extra time if you need it. Out of my class 16 of 18 made it through. I wont go into detail of the other two but I can assure you if you are a currently flying you will most likely not have any problems at all. Take from that what you will. On a side note, I was one of the lucky ones to go to Copenhagen and it was a blast. As much of a good time as one could have wile stressing of a checkride.

As for after training, IOE was awesome. Of course, I imagine if you have a personality conflict that could cause some friction in the cockpit but hey that goes for anything right? All the guys I kept up with out of class all had overall positive experiences.

Considering the crews, I have had an overall very positive experience with my Captains and cabin crews. Of course there are always rotten apples but I am yet to fly with any overall doucebags, of course I hear tell of them being out there ha.

After only two and 1/2 months on reserve I got a line in March. Pretty quick which is great!
