I never really understood pilots *****ing about things, and regional pilots bashing other regional pilots. No matter who you work for, if your a regional pilot, your a bottom feeder. I guess carps are higher on the totem poll than catfish?
Worst case scenario, I become a lifer at Mesa, I still have a job that will pay six figures which is far better than the vast majority of Americans who average about 45k a year. I think a lot of pilots need to take a step back and appreciate what they have. You think you'll have a higher QOL outside of aviation? Give it a try. Reality is a ***** sometimes.

There's no "the parking brake is set- now I go home" in corporate america. I have friends from college working good corporate jobs in NYC, making 70-100k, but they're working 11+ hours a day, nights, weekends, etc. Dealing with work problems when we're out on a Friday night.

I made over that back in '06, when I was a CA the first time, after only 4 years with Mesa.
Of course, my QOL was crap, and I got JA.d down to 8 days off, etc., but I saved a $hitload that helped out greatly, when I eventually got downgraded due to the recession.
I believe that Life (and work) is what YOU make it.
Cheers!
