Here are the two things I legitimately think skywest has over mesa that I am envious of. 1) much hotter flight attendants and 2) their CEO doesn't have a deal with Parker to not hire Mesa pilots for fear of poaching cheap labor. 2 May be a tinfoil hat theory but I see some potential validity to it. 1) is fact from my anecdotal evidence.

I've missed that cause it's not happening. Just because you know of a couple lucky well connected ones, doesn't give you the right to say "many." Corporate, sure... But in many cases that can be a lateral move, or even a decrease in QOL. But the average run of the mill regional FO is not getting picked up by the majors yet. The guys that are fortunate enough to be in that position are guys that were in the military, did internships, and are simply well connected.

Too bad many of those quick upgrade superstars won't get touched with a 10 foot pole by the majors with their GED's, 709's, DUI's and check ride failures. Further clogging the ranks for the gullible folks hired in the last 6 months who bought the kook-aid. Pity.

True, but those exist at every regional including yours. And you're right they won't be touched, and I think everyone knows that. What's your point?
