That can't happen.

B. Scope
1. Except as provided in Section 1.B.2., all present and future flying of any form performed in and for the service of the Company shall be performed by pilots on the Mesa Air Group Pilot System Seniority List in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement. The phrase “present and future flying of any form performed in and for the service of the Company” includes without limitation all such flying 1) on the Company’s aircraft (whether leased or owned), or 2) under the Company’s operational control, including wet leases and contracting for other carriers or entities (government, military or commercial).

2. Notwithstanding paragraph 1.B.1., above, the Company may assign or contract out revenue flying for a period of sixty (60) days during the term of this Agreement if a) such conduct is necessary to accomplish the needs of the service of the Company, and b) the Company does not have sufficient aircraft and pilots to perform the revenue flying assigned or contracted out, and c) no pilot on the Mesa Air Group Pilots System Seniority List is furloughed, or remains on furlough, while the company contracts out revenue flying.

3. The Company shall not create or acquire an “alter ego” to avoid the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

Point is, you have a 121 job getting paid to fly... If the 200 paid more than the 900, I'd be all over it! The airplane is just a F'ing airplane

These are facts.
As long as I'm getting paid,it shouldn't matter. If I have to fly an MD88 or even a 200 at a major, I'll be completely happy. I don't need a shiny new plane to validate me as a pilot.

EJET vs CRJ

apply said aircraft type: E175 (ERJ170/190) you will upon reaching and flying said aircraft see a difference. Said "Present Value" will have gone up quite substantially.

If pay is the same or higher for an ejet, not taking into account bases, I would take that over a 200 any day. Not because it's shinier, but way more comfortable, a lot less old and rickety, and probably not covered in Orange MEL stickers nearly as often, and the cockpit hasn't had 15-20 years of not being cleaned and smelling like crap.

In mesa's case, I would take an ejet if I didn't live in Phx or Dallas already, due in large part to base seniority becoming way better on the e175 for anyone getting in right now anyway. All the early ejet hires will be upgrading soon (most are prior 121) and they are still hiring for the remaining 11 airplanes. No brainer if you want to live in Houston.

Resurrecting the Freedom certificate does not create an alter ego if the pilots come from the Mesa Pilot seniority list. That language has been the same since 2003 and Freedom has come as gone a couple times since then.

Whatever pays the most. That's what aircraft I want to fly. End of story.

Exactly. ex-F8 here, by the way.

My b*tching about the lack of new 700s/flying was just that b*tching. Don't take it so seriously, yo. We lost a lot of UA flying back in 2009 when ASA took it over and we parked all our 200s. Now we're getting a lot of those routes back again and losing our Texas flying (at least for a bit).

And for those who say that flying the 200 is like flying the 175... all I have to say is "Welcome to Mesa" obviously you've never flown a 200 on a hot day with no APU and climbed above FL200. -smh- Newbs...
