That would be great, if it were true. 20 more CRJ 9 for Airways, I heard it would only be 10. Emb 175's will trickle in. 2 in Aug. 14', 2 more in Oct 14' and so on. 6 total for 2014. I can hold Capt. IAD now but I am holding out for an Emb/IAH base and I'm not the only one. Being one of the more senior FO's I calculated I will not hold the Emb 175 capt till 2015. And I figure IOE captains will be on the Emb 175 all of next year because many of the new hire FO's will need 50-100 hours of IOE. There are also a lot of senior FO's holding out for either a line or their base on the CRJ. With the numbers 26 airplanes, (20 CRJ not 10) for the end of 2014. 26x5=130 new captains. Holding captain statewide, (Hawaii doesn't count) is getting close to the 400 seniority number. Remember some of us holding-out, that can hold it now. Let's just -30 on that. So 370+130=500. Remember attrition gets worse as your seniority moves down. (I dropped 8 numbers all of this last year) I would say at least 250 captains will not move on. They will retire here, and that number could go up.(people get comfortable[no commute/good schedules]or money/family gets in the way) So by the end of 2014 you will have to be around the 500 seniority number to hold captain, IF? we get more CRJ 9 for Airways.

If mainline picks up there hiring as forecast, there will be movement. But not enough this next year to force even a 2 year upgrade. But for 2016 and on it will get crazy. Upgrades will come fast and furious and hiring will be off the wall. Many of you guys and gals that were hired early 2013 (Prior) should be getting the upgrade nod sometime in 2015. that's still not to damn shabby. (Hawaii not included) Lets all hope that things economically don't change anytime soon. So we can move up that ladder. Because it sucks being stuck at the bottom with someone else's ass in your face.

730 on property now. 230 would have to move on this year. BUT! we lost 700 pilots in 2007 from hiring. It was crazy, couldn't plan anything and JRA's were rampant. Could happen again someday soon. But it crippled this company and contracts were lost. So watch what you wish for.

Most junior mainline capt is high 400's I'm low 600s.
I think your math is a little off.
Time will tell.
But more importantly.. What is your bench at these days?

I think your math is off. 5 captains IAD above 400. The highest being 421. With many below that waiting (me) for the Emb 175 or a line in their base. Only 5 pilots above 400 holding captain. That's a lot of gaps in between with people waiting. 16 peeps above 400 could have upgraded but did not. So imagine how many below 400 are doing the same. I know your the super-positive overly excited guy on here. But settle down and look at the numbers. And check your company email, 1 Emb 175 for June. In August 14' we will have 2 Emb 175's. Then deliveries of 2 every other month. And yes folks, this company is still ran by incompetent management. It's the crews that have dealt with the 40 minute plane swaps and crap schedules to get these aircraft out on time to get these contracts.

Going on 8 months since my request to interview e-mail, and endless phone calls / e-mails, calls to recruiters from Mesa employees, etc.... <insert Jeopardy theme song>

12 month upgrade? Yeah like when I got hired at RAH in 2007 it was a 13 month upgrade. Flash forward 6 years later... right around the corner. Do you recall how long Mesa managed to keep those DL owned CRJ-900's operated by Freedom? Maybe a year at the most before Delta moved them to another DCI carrier. Just because Mesa has 175's coming owned by UAL, there is a ton of risk in that type of business.
I hope it all works out well for my humble friends at Mesa that have gone through seriously tough times. For you... I just pray you shut up and learn a bit from those guys over the next 12 months before you upgrade.

Your comments continually hint at a bit of immaturity. I was thinking the same as bold/quoted text above, but I really pray for your passengers. Hopefully, your upgrade is more like five years away. This may give you a bit of time to grow up.
