Heard a rumor about one of our early morning flights landing accidentally at Love Field. Any truth to that?

Wouldn't be hard to find out. Look in ftweb. But I doubt it.

How the heck do you land at the wrong airport with a CRJ? You'd have to ignore everything in front of you

I'll be at mins within a month and I'm torn on which equipment to bid given the choice. I really wish you didn't have to be a gray headed lifer to hold PHX CA, but as it stands I'd guess that 90% of the current roster will either retire or kill over in the left seat as a PHX CA.

DFW CA or IAH CA seems like the only two realistic possibilities.

What makes you think that you'll actually be ready to accept the responsibility of being a captain when you're at the minimum qualifications? Just because you have enough SIC time doesn't make you a captain. I'm not singling you out. I'm just tired of the crap I hear in the crew room and on this forum about upgrade. I pray for all of you who are at just the minimums and I pray for the people you fly.

Nice fear mongering. Truth is, no one is ready to be a captain until they've been one for a few months on their own, flying with brand new FO's just off IOE. The training department is pretty darn good at keeping the ones who have no business in the left seat, from being in the left seat.
As far as the best base to be a CA, EVERY BASE IS SENIOR FOR CA. Enjoy reserve for about a year. I really hope a new East coast or West coast base opens up...
