I can't even believe we're doing this again.
You're big bad captains, we get it. No more "you're not ready until your time in the right seat as been as long and miserable as mine" speeches please.
All hail the almighty captains!

No joke, I swear we do this once a month on this thread. Grow up guys and let the training department worry about who is ready and should be CA's and who is not.

So 1000hours 121 operations. And what about the total time ?
If somebody was flying part 121 five years ago and now he has for ex. 1100hours part 121 and 2350 total time is it possible to upgrade ?

Negative ghostrider. One would also need 2500 total time to be eligible to upgrade per our contract.

Thanks on the good luck, been a CA for a while now... Sorry, but the 121 world is about the easiest flying job you could ever have. Those guys flying single pilot IFR have a lot more on their plate, and I am not talking the flying part. No one else has an entire army of dispatchers, mx, and crew tracking working behind the scene, not to mention the repetitive flying we do to the same destinations. Everyone makes a huge deal about winter flying. I had to do that in a piston powered airplane with boots, and every night was life and death, literally! In a CRJ 700/900? It doesn't get any easier.
