Glad our MEC seized the opportunity to LOA the hotel-buyback program, ensuring that a share of the company's cost-savings would go back into the hotel budget.

Oh wait--they didn't...because people who think like RV5M/Sennant/Giggity were running things. Ughhhhhh.

The comfort hotels discount rocks. I used it in Europe and saved 250 bucks a night.
You have no idea what you're talking about and I guarantee I've been in this industry longer than you, bro.

Have some more respect for yourselves, guys--we're airline pilots regardless of who or what we work for. Better hotels won't bankrupt the company.

Man! throw these guys a chew toy.

MESA PEOPLE OBVIOUSLY CANT HAVE NICE THINGS

They'd be beside themselves if you gave them something nice. Defenders of casino hotels and choice hotels discounts. I bet you guys love that 1-800 FTD florist discount too.

It's like trying to explain the difference between a Marriott and a Microtel to someone who grew up in a hut in the Congo. There's no way to explain it.

Not true. One easy example is that Envoy stays the same place as us in GSO.

How about Mesa's hotel in LBB? That place rocks! The workout room is great, the college is nearby, and there's all the food options you could want within walking distance.

Or the new hotel in BJX? With the casino next door serving cheap food and drinks, and a number of other restaurants and bars on the block.

Or the one in QRO where they'll take you downtown for a tip and you can explore the old city and eat at the 1810?

Sure, other regionals may have a better ratio of hotels that most people might prefer, but Mesa ain't that bad. No one is saying ours are superior at Mesa. The gap in quality isn't as large as you make it out to be.
Yes--the gap is huge.

Endeavor uses API also and stays almost exclusively in Courtyards in every city we overnight in.

Have more respect for yourself and for your profession.

I don't mean this as a personal attack, but it really is okay to demand a certain standard in our accommodations. We are educated, trained professionals who not only spent a lot of money and worked hard to get here, but made other sacrifices along the way to get to this point. Don't discount that and settle for less. The days of bending over to please management are over. Embrace the change.

I'm surprised you can read the screen from way up on that high horse.

You can leave ELP five minutes before show time and be on time.
You are a mgmt sympathizer. ABQ has better quality hotels that are closer to the airport and with better food options than your beloved Dion's. GuestHouse Suites is a complete joke. Linens and towels are from the 80's along with their soaps and shampoo. ELP has a Wyndam and a Marriott that are just as close and the Marriott has numerous restaurants nearby. Quit trying to justify and settle for these sub standard hotels. I'm not asking for a Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons. Clean, safe and a decent brand is all I want.
