I have my doubts that you are really a veteran. But I don't know you. Maybe you've had a really hard life. So I am trying my best not to judge. But I have never talked to or read posts by a veteran who sounds like you do. If you have served before, please stop embarrassing other service members by your animosity and complaining here. I know MANY vets in the airlines, and they are able to deal with "the Suck" pretty well. You come across more as a troll posing as a vet. If you are for real, I recommend toning it down a bit. Frustration at a regional airline is more the norm than the exception, from my outside experience.

Also, some of your complaints don't mirror what the majority here speak about. Pay and hotels aside, Mesa seems to be a pretty good place to work. The people seem to be great.

Quote: That's right, rich kid. Some of us had to serve our country first to be able to afford things like...you know...college and flight training. I wish I could have spent daddy's money like you and just hung out by the pool when I was 19 while flying a Cessna wearing Aviator shades.

Luckily, my life experiences including my time in the military gave me insights and perspectives that all your daddy's money won't buy you. Unfortunately I was suckered into coming to Mesa with the "get in, upgrade, get out" mantra. What a scam and people continue to fall for it every day. You included....why else would you make a lateral move TO Mesa???? Are you serious????

I was fooled once....it won't happen again.

You must be a hit at parties.

"Too bad I didn't have Uncle Sam's money (which, by the way, is actually my tax dollars) to use for flying!" - See how stupid that sounds? That would be asinine to say to you, just like your comment.

That is absolutely true. But are those insights and perspectives relevant to the discussion at hand? I sense not. Apples and oranges.

I dunno. I had prior 121 and got the CA award in under a year. Other pilots in that award had just hit their 1,000 SIC.

I bet it will.
Hey guys I think we have another sighting of Popcorn Jones and he goes by the name Hard Lemonade.
DON'T FEED THE TROLL!!!!
Quote: Actually bud, you should do some homework on other airlines. I have many friends/contacts at other airlines from regionals up to legacies and NONE of them have to go through what we do at Mesa. Republic gives us a run for the money....I will admit. But there is a line, however low which Mesa has managed to dive beneath.

You are too drunk on kool-aid to realize any of this. And yes, I probably should have researched Mesa a little further before jumping on the bandwagon. Hence why I hope others won't make the same mistake and be led astray by you and brand spanking new hires like strata-whatever who don't know the first thing about what we are talking about.
Then quit brah. Don't come online and start whining to us that you hate it here like we are supposed to care. If you hate it here then go to another regional, but crying to us about it does nothing.

Also sounds like ag386/387/2000 or whatever he goes by.

Exactly. Saying things negative about Mesa would only inform potential new hires and it would be harder to dupe them into going there.
LOL, I think there is enough negativity here by people who actually work at Mesa and post regularly, without having trolls come here to create a new account and make stuff up. I seriously doubt someone who has "been at Mesa for years" would suddenly be so unhappy, and whining about their life there. It's far too easy to quit and go elsewhere.

Bingo.

What difference would that make? We have plenty enough pilots from other airlines in our thread who've never worked here trash-talking Mesa. I'm sure the potential new hires are plenty well "informed".
Quote: So you spend years in the military, yet you come to Mesa and immediately start *****ing about hotels, and crew trackers that are mean to you? God, you must have been intolerable in the service.

Welcome to the airlines. Ive worked at another regional before Mesa and, everybody complained about the same things you're complaining about. All crew trackers are *******s, and none of the hotels will ever be good enough.

Get over it. It'll be marginally better elsewhere.

Trust me.
This ^^^

Besides the $hitty hotel situation and low pay, this place doesn't suck anymore than the rest of them. And atleast one of those two things EVERYONE knew before showing up for class.

H$ll, we're getting emails stating, "hey guys please work on your attendance." No carpet dances for sick calls, etc. At my last airline sick calls would get you terminated.

Sounds like your one of those new guys who can't fly for $hit, got through training and now CA's have to take the controls during your landings and all of a sudden your butthurt towards everyone/everything Mesa related. I see it everyday when I work.

Don't let the door hit ya on the way out.

(Disclaimer; I am in no
way cheerleading for this company. DO NOT come here. Hired today you will not upgrade. It's 2016 and companies are offering $40 hour starting pay, flows and lots of other quick upgrade opportunities.)
