Still waiting for septembers numbers. These numbers look horrible
Scary part is, that's actually good enough to be close to the top in all those categories.

What regional ISN'T hiring with just a pulse?
Maybe I'm out of touch, but I'm not aware of any other regional that hires over the phone.

Just from personal experience, I know a "friend" that was fired from republic during new hire training that is now flying for Mesa. I'm really surprised any one would hire the guy. From what I've seen mesa's standards are well below its peers

PSA was at one point last year, but I'm not sure about now. But you're right, I wish there was a higher standard so that they would have more trouble filling classes. No company is going to raise the interview bar in the current climate.

Every regional will hire anyone right now...even with an interview. We have people who get let go from Mesa who go to other regionals. We have plenty of prior 121 people who jump ship and come here. We also have plenty of cargo haulers, military, and some CFIs. We have a mix of backgrounds..just like everywhere else. We have training and IOE standards. If we hire someone and they don't cut it after extra sims/IOE they get let go. No different than brand X. There are idiots everywhere.

What standards have you seen at Mesa vs anywhere else? Have you checked everyone's application at each? No. You didn't. You have lore from years past about how bad Mesa is, and one anecdotal example.

Go away.

Even then, they were only conducting phone interviews for qualified and typed rj pilots (maybe only crj) as far as I know.

Keep thinking that y'alls standards are just as high as other regionals if that helps you sleep at night. I know there are some great people there that have made the decision to go there for personal reasons, but you also have some of the worst.

Just like everywhere else. Really? A regional is a regional. Still have to work fast food to make ends meet during 1st year whatever regional you choose. Instead of bashing, why don't you use that energy to improve the industry situatuation, collectively…..
