Damn. I thought it was bad at RAH..

Good post, the 121 newbs will appreciate this, even if they don't post it. Though they may be naive enough to go anyways thinking "it can't be that bad".

Hint: yes it can!

Different strokes for different folks. Mesa's been good to me, hasn't really screwed with me, and my experience is if you show up to work and do your job, there won't be any issues.

This is an accurate post (to anyone considering Mesa). There are some conditions where this might be an OK place for them, but not many.

As long as people have the facts before they come here. Recruiting is not going to tell them the truth that the quick upgrade is over and the pay is in now way anywhere close to being raised.

The chart is updated for the Express Jet increase.
The Skywest increase is not in here yet.

This is APC pay rates and bonuses pulled into one place for convenience. For hourly rates, if there were different rates for different A/C Types, a blended rate was used to keep it simple. Same thing for bonuses.

Every contract is different so this graph is only a starting point. Educate yourself on the different work rules and contracts which can affect your pay and QOL.

Some considerations:
Cancellation pay, DH pay, per diem, schedule flexibility, schedule quality, time on reserve, reserve schedules, time to upgrade, hotel quality, insurance and other benefits, commuter QOL issues including whether or not commuter hotels are offered, etc.

Be aware that recruiters are selling a quick upgrade at many regionals, when the quick upgrade is probably over. Upgrades can only happen if they can hire enough FOs to fill the right sear behind you. And I think we all see the writing on the wall, that that is becoming more difficult for every regional by the day. So just make sure that if you do get stuck in the right seat for a while, that your bank account can withstand that.

Thats not the point. Mesa has been "good" to me too. I was hired at a good time. The point of the post is, Mesa is no where close to what is being sold to new hires. There is NO quick upgrade, NO pay raise on the horizon, and the highest health insurance cost in the industry. Its not to bash Mesa, its to point out that there really is no benefit to working here at this point for a new hire. Like I said before, there are some very limited conditions where this is an ok place to work, but those situations are few and far between. Say for example you live in Dallas already and want to get some 121 time quick and are not too concerned about the pay.

That chart above isn't updated for Envoy. It doesn't include retention bonus or sign on bonus which is up to $15,000.

I think it's better that way, it reflects how crappy of a contract this group voted in.

Mods, delete this thread for defaming a regional airline. We can't have any negative information on airlines trying to lower operating cost.

Seriously though, your chart is off on a lot of airlines. Reduction in street cred

I'm pretty sure people know from day one what they are getting themselves into as far as any regional goes, but yet they still complain .

What's also missing from that chart is nearly 8 weeks of 24/7 per diem in training at PSA.

Doesn't bring them up to where they should be, but still.
