All you new hires who haven't flown a plane since 2005 but accepted the job over the phone:
- Compared to those who are current, you will struggle.
- Just like those before you, you will fail.
- Learning how to fly a jet is not as easy as the recruiters will tell you.
- Basic Indoc will probably be enough to blow your mind by itself.
- Your instrument skills are inadequate, you've been out of the game too long. This will expedite your demise.
- If you absolutely must come here, go to the CRJ. While the recruiter will tell you that the EJET does everything for you, it's much more complicated than that.
Do yourself a favor, keep using Microsoft Flight Sim and don't quit your day job.

Most people dont know the extensive cost of our health insurance package. It is an absolute joke. Forums like this with people who work at these places is one of the best ways to disseminate this information.
Carry on all.

Point taken. But to include it would mean researching the other 13 airlines to keep it apples to apples and I don't think it's a significant enough impact to warrant that much research time. It's good that you added the note though. People can take that into account if they are considering PSA as one of their options.

Almost positive SkyWest does as well. At the end of the day, people should do their own research on the airline(s) they are considering working for. I applied to several airlines, turned down a few offers, and chose SkyWest. I have a family to feed, so pay and stability was an important factor, not to mention self respect.

"Charts don't mean anything".What!? Looking at the difference between top and bottom... Lil more than 5k a year. All regionals don't pay the same but then again I don't want to confuse you with stuff like charts, data, and facts. They don't mean anything.
