All you new hires who haven't flown a plane since 2005 but accepted the job over the phone:

- Compared to those who are current, you will struggle.
- Just like those before you, you will fail.
- Learning how to fly a jet is not as easy as the recruiters will tell you.
- Basic Indoc will probably be enough to blow your mind by itself.
- Your instrument skills are inadequate, you've been out of the game too long. This will expedite your demise.
- If you absolutely must come here, go to the CRJ. While the recruiter will tell you that the EJET does everything for you, it's much more complicated than that.

Do yourself a favor, keep using Microsoft Flight Sim and don't quit your day job.

Charts don't mean anything all regionals pay about the same.. What you can't make up for is time away from home (QOL). Pick a stable airline that fits best wirh your life. Not a extra $5-10K a year...

Thanks for the info. I'll get it updated when I have time. I'll get the new Skywest rate in there too. It's great that these improvements to compensation are taking place so frequently that it's a challenge to keep this chart up to date.

The table included below the chart shows the exact numbers used, pulled right from APC data. I update it about once per week, as I get time. So if one of those numbers is incorrect, please, let's get it corrected on APC so the correct information is out there for everyone making life decisions. Let me know what you found to be incorrect.

Doesn't bring them up to where they should be, but still.
Per diem is also noted in the table below the chart. Information only.

I see that, but how many regionals are paying 24/7 per diem in training? For us it's another $2,000 above whatever bonus we're offering.

Again, not a lot in the grand scheme of things, but still something.

Far from the truth. Each regional has their own contract, pay scale, benefit package, and even to some degree of importance their cultures.

Most people dont know the extensive cost of our health insurance package. It is an absolute joke. Forums like this with people who work at these places is one of the best ways to disseminate this information.

Carry on all.

Point taken. But to include it would mean researching the other 13 airlines to keep it apples to apples and I don't think it's a significant enough impact to warrant that much research time. It's good that you added the note though. People can take that into account if they are considering PSA as one of their options.

Envoy pays 24/7 per diem during training as well.

Almost positive SkyWest does as well. At the end of the day, people should do their own research on the airline(s) they are considering working for. I applied to several airlines, turned down a few offers, and chose SkyWest. I have a family to feed, so pay and stability was an important factor, not to mention self respect.

24/7 for transitions and upgrades, but to my knowledge not for new hires.

"Charts don't mean anything".What!? Looking at the difference between top and bottom... Lil more than 5k a year. All regionals don't pay the same but then again I don't want to confuse you with stuff like charts, data, and facts. They don't mean anything.
