No improvements to health insurance whatsoever, this desperately needed to change. From what I've seen and heard thus far I am not impressed.
I do have to wonder how we are getting a raise since we heard last time that Mesa has NO money and the last TA was the very best we could possibly get.

I really don't get how company A can afford to provide a top notch comprehensive insurance plan while company B, hired by the same majors, cannot even come up with something close to reasonable.
I'm frustrated for you all. I enjoyed my time thoroughly with Mesa, pilot group was great. Just could not justify staying as an FO.

The company still insists the shortage will be over in two years. So fo pay rates are written to drop at year 3, but only for new people on property. It is expressly written that no one will drop pay rates who are already on property. And it's written that the company can continue the supplemented pay scale after year 2 if they so choose.
If they want a retrograde payscale--that's fine. But you should never ever ever agree to give management unilateral rights to move any payrate based on staffing needs--period.
JO obviously hasn't even begun to sweat--pretty audacious to put retrograde payscales in your TA in this environment. It's almost like they're messing with you putting something that insulting and bonkers in a long-overdue CBA.
This isn't their last best final offer imho--they still haven't gotten the memo. They need to be sweating a bit when the sign your TA, and they obviously aren't at all.
Good luck y'all

Health insurance is a big reason why I left; well, that and the pay, the bonus, QOL, 100% deadhead, honest commuter clause, financially stable, no drama... I'm now getting a great health plan ($15 co-pay, no deductible for minor stuff), full dental, vision, wellness program, and life insurance. Family plan plus all the rest is a total of $526/month.

I'm voting yes. I want that money in the short term. At my longevity, it's about $500 more a month, which equates to $6,000 more a year. I don't expect to be here more than another year or two. If this thing gets voted down now, there likely won't be another TA for two more years, looking at the glacial pace of negotiations. That's $12,000 I would be losing out on.
I'm sorry but this is Mesa and we're always going to be bottom of the barrel with JO at the helm. Take what you can now, and do your best to find employment at a better airline in the meantime.
