If this thing gets voted down now, there likely won't be another TA for two more years, looking at the glacial pace of negotiations. That's $12,000 I would be losing out on.

I'm sorry but this is Mesa and we're always going to be bottom of the barrel with JO at the helm. Take what you can now, and do your best to find employment at a better airline in the meantime.
That's the spirit. Way to make the industry a better place.

also, if we cont do 12 and the company does no upgrades or whatnot, the 12 from the previous yr would allow 24 upgrades for following yr and so on and so forth? based on the 1% thing im using 12 and 24 respectfully
Correct there must be vacancies for captains to transfer over. Transfers will not displace any pilots in any equipment.
Partly correct on the second question, the transfers do roll over. However, Each vacancy bid may contain up to a maximum of 20% transfer captain vacancies.

We do not know how the company plans to contact pilots.

No. This pertains to pilots who are downgraded out of seniority order. Where a senior pilot is downgraded before a junior pilot.

so what i hear is, if there are 5 ejet positions open on current bid, only 1 captain out of 11ish could bid over this bid. correct?

Default No no no

Health insurance was not addressed at all. First year FO pay goes up to $36 per hour. However, three years after the date of signing first year FO pay is reduced to $31 per hour. Captain pay on the EJet is on average $7 less per hour than other companies. Based on the first two things I mentioned this TA should be a solid NO. Why would any pilot group vote for a contract that reduces wages in the future?

I am willing to miss out on the increase to stand our ground to the contract we deserve. Voting in something that gives a pay increase just to lower in a couple of years is morally wrong. This is not about one person. This is about an entire work group. The fact that there is nothing done on health care should warrant a no vote. I understand that our pilots need more money, especially new FO's. But this is not the way. STAND UNITED!
