Republic should begin a campaign to hire the Mesa pilots in IAH away.

Good for Republic! It’s about time someone reputable moves into IAH and puts the pressure on Mesa. It will be very interesting how this plays out. If Mesa thought they had a hard time recruiting before, it’s probably about to get much worse.

I doubt it will be necessary. If the trends continue at Mesa, the more junior Mesa pilots will figure out to make that leap on their own. There could be a real S#itstorm in the making in IAH and, quite possibly, the entire UA side of Mesa when UA begins to move on replacing the 700 flying out of IAD as well.

Hmm that's the same thing JO said about Freedom and their DAL flying years ago. Here today gone tomorrow. It's called a performance matrix and if you don't meet it for a certain period of time then in most CPAs they can end it.

Quick question . . . I'm debating a few things here, but wanted to see how much a typical FO would bring home a month, or at least typical hours flown a month. I know a lot of it depends on how you bid . . . but just looking at "typical" numbers . .no bonus included... Year 1 and year 2.
How about a CA same sort of thing? Current job is $50K a year, but working 18 days a month (many days max duty/flight) CA's start $78K again, max duty/flight for 117.
I dont mind working hard, but sometimes wouldnt mind an "easy" month.

At Mesa I make 38/hr. So plan on making about 40-45K your first year that includes 300% trips and a couple sick calls and miss commutes anything can happen in a year. If you want to burn yourself out or live in base you can earn more. But if you value QOL as a commuter plan on that. That does NOT include any bonus cash whatever we give these days. Hope this helps
