does Mesa do more than average number of line checks? Once a year or 2 years is required..but ANYtime a check airmen is deadheading, he'll ride upfront and do a “standards check”
Plus other random checks. I average 1 or maybe more A MONTH. No exaggeration. Maybe the CA or FO is due, maybe it’s a deadheading check airmen... but man alive. It seems like borderline harassment!

Must be you. I see one-two a year if that.

I agree. I’ve had 1 standards and 2 line in two years. One line check was for upgrade.

3 standardization checks, 1 line check, and an FAA observation in less than three months... but I’ve always had a lucky streak

If a check airman is deadheading, he's going to sit up front and do a standardization check. Nothing personal to whoever is upfront flying.

I didn’t think Mesa could surprise me but I’m surprised.
Who would ever apply to be a LCA?
Are they doing that for financial gain to only have to buy three seats in the back?

Is this a serious question...?

LCA is often seen as the ultimate resume builder, but even that isn’t a guarantee of anything anymore.

Oh yes, I know it’s not harassment. Just seems like a lot. Once had 3 in 2 weeks plus an FAA ride along in there.
Just was curious as to how often others got checked..
