Is the flight physical specifically for the return to AD or would a current flight physical (i.e. a 1042 dated from last month) suffice? Also, do you have a choice between signing a 3 year or 4 year contract? I thought I read that there are some strings attached to a four year contract but not sure. Thanks.

The website has a list of what is requried for your medical. The longer you have been out the more tests that are required for you medical package. If you are actively flying military (AD, Guard, Reserve) your current medical should be good. If you have been out for a while it will depend how long and what tests they will need to run. The best advice, read the website and then call or email Recall Ops your questions. If you submit a package and they need more they will always tell you but that could slow things down. They normally work packages in the order you submit them. Good Luck

For those of you going overseas and being assigned to an AOC, you will have to attend the AOC school at Hurlburt, FL enroute to your assignment. Never fear though, as the first guinea pig through the process, they worked out all of the details and issues getting me through the process. SSgt Bobick at AFPC is very knowledgeable and has been an excellent source of info and an extremely dedicated worker. If you have specific questions feel free to PM me.

I just received this info from the class registrar at the AOC school. These are the dates for the next couple of classes.

19 Oct - 13 Nov 09
4 Jan - 29 Jan 10

So, if they are making you go TDY enroute, then those of you who just received your SOI and are going to an AOC have about 3 months to wait. Maybe they'll go ahead and PCS you and let you return to take the class. It will be 60 days from the time I received my SOI until I start my class on 3 Aug.

cficpilot (or anyone else),

Do you have a better number than the one I suggested? I have left several messages and I am not receiving a return call. Not to mention that the person at my base who is supposedly the POC for submitting a package hasn't been in for over a week. Geeeze!

cficpilot, you know house or sweet pea?

Try 210-565-4478. I've had good luck with it. They worked this weekend, that's why SOI's went out on Saturday. Maybe they took the day off?!

No I dont know either one. If you get your posts up feel free to PM. It has been tough at times to get ahold of folks. I was a retired guy so I worked directly with recall ops. I only worked with the base to schedule my medical stuff then got a copy and faxed it in along with them processing it. Good Luck and feel free to ask questions here. There are a bunch of guys that have been going through this process.

I received an MFR from AFPC for me to submit required documents to AMC so I can be placed back on Aero. Orders. Has anyone else had to accomplish / submit their own package to get back on AO? Plus wondering how long this process will take? This is the list of things I need to provide as required: Old AO's, Medical (AFPC actually takes care of this), flying history, AF Form 142, and the following if required: Additional Statement, Service doc, Civ Flt Records.
