Any self respecting fighter pilot know that is NOT exactly how the saying goes. MY 2 cents.

Not only that, but I don't know ANY Reserve or Guard guys, that fly for any regionals. If I made the move to the reserves, after making 100K a year, why in the HELL would I accept 20K a year to work my ass off like that?

I know plenty of ANG pilots flying for regional airlines, but none of them are ACs (or pointy-nose types, for that matter).

I figured at least a dozen people would jump on here to disprove my theory, again though by the time you've gotten to a point in your pointy nose career where you can go part time and fly for an airline, you've acquired enough time to be marketable to ANYTHING better than a regional.

If Tmarts dumbass had done any research on his lie, he'd know there is now way he could've gone through UPT, RTU, and been full time long enough to get to a regional by the age of 24. All while saving cats from trees while working as a fire fighter. It just wasn't possible. Moron. I hope he never flies anything again, and moves back into his parents basement.

I was a pointy nosed ANG guy at a regional. Started there before I was selected for UPT and went back after training to finish building my PIC time. So, there are(were) a few of us out there.

I know ONE former squadronmate of mine who was hired at ASA in the 2002-2003 timeframe from the Hornet community. I believe he was in a pool, or his actual training class was canceled, but I don't think he ever actually flew with them. Last I heard he was with FedEx or SWA now. I don't know many of my peers that have flown with a Regional Airline though.

Yes - TM got the quote a little wrong. Just doesn't flow off the tongue the way he said it does it?

It's a direct quote from the Dos Gringos song, "The Ballad of Shaved Dog's Ass"...which is further proof that he's probably not the real thing.

I'm not sure - but I've heard that saying since my first days in flight days....which I thought was longer than Dos Gringos has been around.

Rickair7777 - was this recent or in the long past that you know several Hornet and Tomcat guys?
Hornet guys, if not too long in the past, could be because they didn't have the hours to get their ATP while active duty. Flying time can be VERY rough right now, people are not getting their quals like they did in the past.
Tomcat guys now - well we know that can't be in the too recent past since they have been gone for a few years now (at least 2006 though they were being drawn donw much sooner).
