You want to keep flying? Or go into management?

Management I'd say stay and expand your resume. More rank and leadership positions always looks better.

Flying? I'd get out. The sooner you get hired by your final employer the better off you'll be in the civilian world. If you get another year out of your airline career you're adding the most senior year (ie - 20 vs 21? 21st will be better than the 20th) as well as being more senior then the guy who gets hired a week, a month, or a year later every single day of your civilian career.

"Final employer"? You can get hired and it's not the best, or final, choice. Build your civilian resume and keep applying to the airliners you're really interested in.

Good luck.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I see what you are saying about pure vertical, but it works for me. I don't think most expect it, probably for reasons you mentioned, and it was fun doing it as a new guy against a patch who showed up at the merge with <350 bills because he was sure I was going to do something else. Ha!

I loved it when someone tried to go pure vertical at the merge.
