You’re doing it wrong.

The reduction in the number of recovery flights that these incentives will buy is worth every penny the company will have to toss to the crews.
It’ll only bite them in the posterior when a fatigued crew chasing a few hundred bucks fly thurston and lovey in a broken airplane into a smoking hole.
Don’t say a little money won’t cause a crew to fly broken/sick/tired. We’ve all seen what a pilot might do for an extra Atlantic buck.

Union calls have been interesting, looks like they tried to make life better for crews with this one and penalize the company for keeping people on the hook just to keep them on the hook or fly them inefficiently. HBA for everyone on the books now will be nice change for many of us, having commuted for years and doing crash pad and traffic and 4 hour drives and sleeping in crew rooms this all looks better to me but its all up to the individual needs! Now I will get up to $168 an hour override when I am getting screwed!

Not necessarily. Read the exceptions to it. There are many.

And intentionally confusing. Much like the insurance companies try to baffle you with enough BS that you give up, many of the provisions of the TA are written so that it will be nearly impossible to make sure you are getting paid correctly.

If you get hotel stby by a certain time, no soup for you. If you are at the airport you get paid unless you had R2 duty assigned at a certain time, no soup for you. If you fly at night you get paid unless Aquarius is in its third phase and then no soup for you.

We’re STILL going to sit hot spare until 2 AM. We’re STILL going to work 12 hour days, every day. We’re STILL going to get min rest. Sometimes, you’ll get paid a few extra scheckels, sometimes, you’ll get loopholed, sometimes, it will rain...

It will pass, but not with my help.

I think people are starting to realize these truths, and the company and union knew they would before the vote, hence the bonus check offer to the sellouts.

Probably only brings one pair of underwear and washes them in the sink.

I will never understand why people punish themselves on the road...

Also, ideas like this undermine what work groups have achieved for your benefit. There are many that have fought hard for you to get per diem as a means to supplement your expenses on the road. You wanna eat crew meals in your boxers and pocket the per diem, by all means you have that right, it is your money, but if it has to be part of your income for you to survive, you might not make enough INCOME.

It is all a personal choice what to do with the money that the company puts in your bank account, that is for sure, but I will never for the life of me understand why people punish themselves on the road when they are gone half their lives for work, and spending half their lives in hotel rooms. Use it, enjoy it.

Also, you wanna be anti-union, then go find another career, we don't need you.
Punish? I get 2 meals and a company paid meal for dinner or whenever I choose. No limit on what I get cost wise, just don't be stupid. We eat well on the road. Sorry you don't feel that way. Of course you won't read something you're afraid of. You might learn something or heaven forbid agree with something someone else said.

I studied a lot of historical labor relations as part of one of my degree programs, I really have nothing to learn from some anti union jet charter oddball, I have come across many like you, and I haven't been enlightened yet.

Nice to see you living on the backs of people that worked hard to get you those benefits like meals and per diem. Tell us more about how you hate organized labor
