Quote: The sooner the collective works together to apply pressure, the sooner the company will come back to the table. This isn’t rocket science. Everyone needs to take a long look in the mirror and ask themselves which side of the rope are they pulling on.

i know more than a few on this thread pulling against their own interests.
ok now that pickets aren't the answer, people are dying on the Extended day narrative? Do you really think the company cares one way or another if you pick up days? If no one picked up extended days, you'd be right where you are now, hauling another cross around with the pitchforks and fire complaining of another place you were touched by the evil boss. Cry wolf enough.......you know the rest. Repeat after me, YOU HAVE NO LEVERAGE. Regardless of what the Union says you have. Talked to a buddy there this week. Seems company is going to meet its hiring goals. Another 54 this week? So now that you don't have everyone leaving in masses and new hires steady churning through the door. What's next from the Palace Keeper? Extended days I see. Good luck with that.10% minimum of the group will always do what's best for themselves. It's time you find another hill to die on as the previous 3 didn't work. Good luck in 2029. I think you might need it. NJ isn't an airline and shouldn't be paid like a 12 year wide-body captain regardless of how many times you take the Global into ASE or BFE Texas. If you want Delta/United money, go there. You'll never see close to that at NJ. EVER. Best of luck to you asking for 60 to 100% raise. When dumb and dumber stop their crusade of revenge and get realistic maybe progress will be made. Until then, I tip my hat and simply say..... Happy 2029.

You must really have your head in the sand if you think pilots have no leverage in this industry. Why do you think the airline are all outdoing each other with their latest contracts? Why do you think Netjets was ready to initiate a new IBI when we already had a contract through at least 2026? Do you really think it’s out of the goodness of their hearts? Good luck with the rest of you career, your mindset is clearly toxic and counterproductive for any pilot group.

He didn’t say no leverage in the industry. He said we have no leverage here. Pickets and flying banners that’s all we can do. The union screwed up when it got personal having cobra pickets show up at places that had no strategic advantage except to embarrass family members and kids. Spin it any way you want but that’s dirty pool.

We aren’t in section 6 we are IBB. If the union was so gung-ho in changing the entire contract they shouldn’t have sold the pilot group the IBB scheme.

Extended days make up a very few percentage of pilots, and of those maybe one or two a year. It’s not going to have the huge effect you think it will have. I just put in for some and they didn’t get picked up in a very busy fleet and during the busy summer season. What does that tell you?

What does it tell me? It tells me something about you that I can’t express on a public forum.

I stand by the fact that we have tremendous leverage. Some like you will chip away at it, but thankfully we have stronger members that will continue to persevere.

Cobra pickets are indeed an embarrassment for the targeted management folks. Dirty pool though? I can see that would be the impression from those management types. Like those who post in this forum posing as line pilots.

What you’re going to hurt my feelings? I stand by it and I think it tells a better story that the company doesn’t need the extended days more than it says anything else.

We’re not in section 6. We’re in IBB. I’m not sure why everyone thinks we are going to redo an entire contract. The company has no need to, nor did they agree to.

That you’re exactly the kind of man I thought you might be… a company lackey. A man who complains about the union not having any leverage while picking up extended days. I bet you haven’t been to many pickets, or donated hotel points. Your the guy who flies broken airplanes until your at a service hub, flies fatigued so he can make 1.1 more FDP. You’re a company lap dog.

We will get a new contract, but it will take longer b/c of guys like you and zebra spots picking up extended days and shirking your responsibilities as a professional pilots (flying broken planes and flying fatigued), all while complaining about the big bad union’s inability to get things done.

We have as much leverage as the legacy’s, but unfortunately more pilots who don’t have a clue how to sacrifice now for a better future.

No. It will take longer BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO LEVERAGE! I repeat, YOU HAVE NO LEVERAGE! Regardless of how many times it's told to you from the Union, doesn't mean it's so. Please list the leverage you have.

I'll start

1. Hiring - NOPE
2. Retention - NOPE
3. Extended Days - NOPE
4. Quiet Quitting - NOPE
5. Major Airlines Contracts - BIG NOPE
6. Hopes and Dreams - NOPE
7. Because the Union said so - NOPE
8. Pitchforks and Torches - NOPE
9. Your Special - NOPE
10. Operate out of ASE, JAC, and Marfa, TX - NOPE

Please enlighten us with the immense leverage you have in justifying your unhappiness with the contract you signed in 2020.

Base point. You signed an agreement and you're not happy. So company should pay you. Ha ha. Best of luck with that. Keep wasting your 1.5% on whatever it is you think will help. I'll revise in 2029 and see how it's going.

WAIT, WAIT, WAIT!
All of the pilots there make 100kish and get hotel points, yet you want the same hard working folks who cannot go to donate their hard earned money so the same people can have gas money to go picket and live it up at the union party? You have got to be kidding me. Whats the $8m The union has doing for you other than buying buildings? I remember a story of a husband and wife team peddleling for gas money on the forum to go picket in AGS when BOTH of them made well north of 275k combined. Both working at NJ. How is that right? Make that make sense.

That’s nice but you have no idea the man I am. I’m sure I’ve been here longer than you and have spilt far more blood on the battlefield than you. The rest of your assumptions are just that.

I haven’t said the union is bad and can’t get things done. I just point out the reality of the situation. The union has no leverage and we aren’t in section 6 of negotiations. Everything else is window dressing.

Don’t worry the company isn’t handing out extended days because they are fully staffed and saw the train coming before it could blow its horn.

That should tell you something about the EMT. This isn’t 2015 and the tactics need to change 180 degrees to get anything done.
