A new hire is someone who has just been newly hired by a company

There is a 39 month equipment lock when you are hired or bid a new aircraft. 90 percent of equipment changes are through the displacement process and not open bids. So if you are in a dying fleet you may be forced into a different aircraft even if you are junior to someone who wants that plane

There are a little over 100 crew bases open to new hires you can choose from. All are in the 48 states. Alaska and Hawaii will never happen.
