Thank you by the way for all the information.

If your day one duty starts before 8:00 am, you receive OT until 8:00. You also start receiving OT after 9 hours instead of the normal 12. So, if you start at 6:00 am and have a 12 hour duty day, that would be 5 hours of OT.

I have gotten home anywhere from the day before to about 9:00 pm on the last day. I live on the West Coast, so I typically get home early afternoon.

No idea on upgrade. We have 11 year FO's now. I think it will get worse before it gets better. I am planning on never upgrading, so I will be pleasantly surprised when it happens.

What do the chances of getting on there look like for the next couple years?
I live in a very rural area and home based jobs are appealing to me. I am content with not upgrading for a long time, I just need a place with decent work rules, set schedule, and ability to live where I want. It seems NJA is the place for that.
I was a helo guy in a prior life, so my FW time is rather low, but I am starting work Monday with a jet charter operator and hopefully will begin to build up my multi jet time at 4-500hrs a year.
Just looking for a semi realistic outlook on hiring, when and if the huge wave comes and sweeps everyone to the majors lol!
I meet the mins on NJA website, minus the 500 multi, albeit, it's mostly turbine helo time.
Thanks for the info!

The difficult thing about getting hired by NJA is simply the low hiring numbers. We are losing about 100 - 120 pilots a year right now. We the recently announced Voluntary Separation Plan that could be as high as 200 in the next year. (My opinion only.) In the last year, the company has not hired as many as have left.

As far as I can tell, the minimums are fairly well set in stone, but maybe some one else has better info than I do.

If you can fit in the Phenom, your chances of getting hired get significantly better.

Thanks for the info! What are the requirements for the Phenom?

I honestly don't know the specifics. There is a whole chart of measurements. Basically if you are over 6' 1"ish with long legs, you may have issues.

Where do I go to send my application/resume? Everytime I go to their site, it brings up a blank page. Am I using the wrong browers? (Using Safari).

I use Safari (latest version) and it took a while to load properly this morning. The "Careers" link is at the very bottom towards the right. It will take you to another page with pilots, flight attendants and corporate position links.

Does the pilot group respect fellow gay pilots? Is the company respectful too?

What exactly does this mean? All pilots are treated equally regardless of protected class or no class.
