It's not cool to call someone out by their real name without permission. And you've got him pegged wrong; he cares about the FOs and knows they've got a raw deal--even if his arguments get tiresome.

Sounds like we share a common interest in tracking this info to find factual data and predict where the company is going. PM me on NJASAP and I'll send you all the data, seniority lists, and spreadsheets I have covering the last decade. You can also track NJA airframes below. The FAA's website seems to be about 2 weeks delayed from actual.
Federal Aviation Administration - Airline Certificate Information - Detail View
It's time consuming to assemble all the info, but I find the results are the best way to make career decisions.

Jan we lost 16 gained 0.
Dec we lost 14 gained 13
Nov we lost 8 gained 5
Oct we lost 22 gained 0
Sep we lost 22 gained 15
For a total loss of 82, and a gain of 33.
Tell me again how we are not shrinking...

You must be confusing me with someone who cares about his feelings or forum decorum.
his comments of:
"we're building a strong financial platform"
"Combine that with significant expansion"
"Not shrinking... becoming more efficient"
"All on the NJA Train will enjoy the journey"
are all right out of a shill's mouth.
If he cared about FO's he wouldn't be a cheerleader for a system that perpetuates a 20 year upgrade.

Go back and read. I didn't state we are shrinking or growing. I only said upgrades start in December/January, which means the seniority list will be at the correct ratio.
You're arguing with yourself. I'm not going to take a position and I will keep the info to myself in the future.
I started tracking this info in 2008 because a very close friend missed an upgrade bid by 1. He is still waiting. After charting the info for over a year, I assumed others might want to see it. Guess I was wrong. I already apologized.

You two got off on the wrong foot because you both interpret the phrase "NJA will start upgrades December/January" to be different things.
In the literal sense - yes, we might have some people upgrading.
To an SIC that is looking at 2 decades in the right seat, "start upgrades" means a protracted period of upgrades that could change the lifestyle, income, and career future of hundreds of people.
BUT that isn't happening, so when us SICs hear "start upgrades" we laugh bitterly, then go about the business of updating our applications.

Did any of you "fairly new hires" do the math before going to NJA?
Hell guys like me have been pessimistic on NJA for years ( I resigned 5 years ago when I saw the writing on the wall and received a optimistic offer from another company) I've pretty much bad mouthed NJA in one form or another about their lack of growth, non existent upgrades and such.
Back when they made the Bombardier orders and Phenom orders ( maybe 2011) it didn't take long to do the math on the future of expansion.
When getting hired it's hard to have the total picture of a company. But 10 minutes on this thread should have given enough of a fair warning. But 9 outta 10 times responses are usually "I don't care about upgrade"
NJA is a well run company, offers a pretty good QOL on the road, and a stress-free "commute". If your in the right position and time in your life it can be a positive experience. I'd say if your in your late 30'summer early 40's hoping for a brass ring, keep those apps updated

"industry leading contract"
"improved QOL on the road"
"we haven't upgraded anyone since 2008, it will happen fast"
"really looking to leverage our position in the industry to grow"
Unless a mandatory age is implemented, NetJets might be the most dead end job in all of aviation for any FO.

I have had a lot of tours lately with good overnights, nice hotels , ( Key West , Waldorf comes to mind ), yes, we work hard, but I feel far from beat up on a daily basis ( there are always some days of course) , and I'm on the mighty XL, standing by for the usual blasts of misery, and woe : )
