Not shrinking... becoming more efficient with new aircraft types while reshuffling the entire fleet.
It's not easy to change out 420 airframes in GA... it's never been done and we're making good progress.
Shrinking towards oblivion is shrinking we're used to in aviation... This is a bit different as we're building a strong financial platform with an efficient fleet plan.
Combine that with significant expansion and moving of 100% of the CMH simulators NJA uses in a complete upgrade of the training center and we've got a huge reorganization underway.
Unfortunately, growth is not a great idea while so many balls are in the air.
The time will come... this year where NJA has the potential to move forward in a much more economic fashion serving our Owners travel needs.
At that point, I think you'll see a concerted and professional decision regarding growth.
To grow and not have the proper aircraft or simulators would be like fishing without a proper rod and reel or net.
It feels good but you'll go hungry.
This reorganization process is frustrating for junior pilots to go through to be sure spurring the desire to look elsewhere. Whatever floats your boat but when the logger jam that Hansell and Sokol left behind is cleared, it's all ahead forward.
All on the NJA Train will enjoy the journey.

fewer pilots, fewer planes, reduced market share = SHRINKING
Pilots that have 10 years are still in the bottom 10% of the seniority list.
That isn't a joke....Mr. X was hired xxxxxxx
You hope there will be growth even though there is absolutely nothing from the company, management, or BH that indicates as such.
The reorganization is going to dump our less efficient fleets (good) and we'll need fewer pilots (bad).
Mr. X needs AT ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM 400 pilots above him to leave. That could get him within a Hail Mary of maybe upgrading, if PIC% remains the same (it won't), that a litany of FO's who are senior to him won't take an upgrade (they will take the upgrade).
Based on the current attrition of 40-50 captains a year...Mr X is looking at another 8 years in the right seat AT LEAST.
Your X math is trash. Stop trying to sell people that NetJets is a place that should be considered as anything but a stepping stone, and a 2nd rate stepping stone at that since no one that matters cares about Phenom or XL SIC time.
Go bust a line check again and start throwing mud about the check airman. Oh no, I used the word "maybe" in my response! I guess that invalidates everything since something can't be proven as an irrefutable fact.

If history continues, NJA will start upgrades December/January. Again, IF attrition holds steady. Could be a couple months sooner or later depending how proactive or reactive management is.
You're welcome to give me $hit if I'm wrong. 😀
P.S. There are still a few VSPs waiting to leave. I don't have the remaining VSPs in my models. Also, attrition outside of VSPs has leveled off the last couple months.
Hard to forecast it is.

You say start upgrades like the flood gates are opening. The only upgrades projected to happen this year are 5 per the LOA, THATS IT. More captains are worried about downgrade than there are FOs thinking that upgrades are coming.
It's like you work at a different company....
