Heyas guys.
Curious if it would be a good move to go from express jet to Netjets. I was thinking of firing off a resume pretty quick. My goal is ultimately Hawaiian but if for some reason that didn't happen, I would like to be in a different spot. Netjets sounds pretty sweet. Currently I should upgrade in about 3 years but I definitely don't think its critical to move on.
Peace.

The only good thing about NetJets is that you do not have to commute. If you live someplace and aren't willing to relocate, then that might factor heavily in your decision making.

[QUOTE=Fischman;1804124]Disclaimer: This is based on what I remember and what has recently been confirmed by Blueridger.
Thanks for the detailed info Fischman.
Do you know who all is covered under the health insurance plan?
Is it the whole family or just the employee?
Have my interview Feb 4 and 5. Anybody there as well?

I stand (sit) corrected. Are the differences between 18 day fixed and 18 day training significant? I don't remember there being anything, well, memorable - but yes, I now recall them being two different things.

The 18 day fixed is a hard schedule. The 18 day training schedule requires you to call in each evening to see if you will be working the next day. The only hard days off you get on the 18 day training schedule are the contractual days after a tour.

There are 3 bids per year. 2 are closed and the one in October is a flush bid. If you were recently recalled, you might not be able to hold the 18 day schedule based on your seniority, but after you get out of training, you will be placed on it per the contract. You'll stay on it until:
1- you request the 7/7 before IOE, which may or may not be approved
2- you bid the 7/7 during ANY bid period (you will always be awarded it if you want it.)
3- You get kicked off of it during a flush bid because you don't have the seniority to hold it.
