1. Your contract doesn't require 1st class hotels.
2. Your Union's hotel committee isn't doing its job.
Both are fixable.
There are 3 bids per year. 2 are closed and the one in October is a flush bid. If you were recently recalled, you might not be able to hold the 18 day schedule based on your seniority, but after you get out of training, you will be placed on it per the contract. You'll stay on it until:
1- you request the 7/7 before IOE, which may or may not be approved
2- you bid the 7/7 during ANY bid period (you will always be awarded it if you want it.)
3- You get kicked off of it during a flush bid because you don't have the seniority to hold it.

Can anyone tell me how the system with the aircraft assignement works at NJA?
At NetJets Europe the pay was the same regardless of the airframe. That seems different at NJA.
So you could get lucky on a large cabin with 18 days fixed or you could face small cabin with 7/7.
Do I see that correct?

Now as to seat locks and such, that'll have to be answered by someone more current on things than I am.
Plan on 7/7 on the smaller aircraft and anything else will be a bonus, though you have a much better shot at getting the 18 day right off the bat than a large cabin aircraft.
