RJPilot, the app keeps shutting down when I try to answer your PM.

You can change bases every 30 days I believe.

Good luck to those of you interviewing.

Agreed. If your hotels are deteriorating you have one or both of these problems:

1. Your contract doesn't require 1st class hotels.
2. Your Union's hotel committee isn't doing its job.

Both are fixable.

TPIC is important unless you have some heavy duty inernal recs.

1- you request the 7/7 before IOE, which may or may not be approved
2- you bid the 7/7 during ANY bid period (you will always be awarded it if you want it.)
3- You get kicked off of it during a flush bid because you don't have the seniority to hold it.
Are you talking seat bids or line bids?

There is another NetJets thread where a pilot who wasn't hired reported on the face to face.

Can anyone tell me how the system with the aircraft assignement works at NJA?

At NetJets Europe the pay was the same regardless of the airframe. That seems different at NJA.

So you could get lucky on a large cabin with 18 days fixed or you could face small cabin with 7/7.

Do I see that correct?

It's all bid, and since you make more on the large cabin aircraft they go senior. Almost everyone in my newhire class went to the Citation X or the Excel. It is (was) whatever the needs of the company happen to be when you go to class. I was already typed in two of the aircraft that NJA operated at the time but ended up going to the Excel/XLS which was not one of them. Really no different than going to a major and not going right to the 777 in that regard.

Now as to seat locks and such, that'll have to be answered by someone more current on things than I am.

Plan on 7/7 on the smaller aircraft and anything else will be a bonus, though you have a much better shot at getting the 18 day right off the bat than a large cabin aircraft.
