You say start upgrades like the flood gates are opening. The only upgrades projected to happen this year are 5 per the LOA, THATS IT. More captains are worried about downgrade than there are FOs thinking that upgrades are coming.
It's like you work at a different company....

Also, your emotions inserted an alternative fact into my post; I never stated "floodgates".
Here's another factual number. With the exception of 3 months around contract ratification, which was near zero, PIC attrition has ranged from 4.7- 5.2 for the last 2 years.

Interpret how you like. I'm presenting numbers and facts, not emotions.

Side note. How did you come to the conclusion the company is shrinking? Maybe from the data and charts I've been posting the last couple years?

Federal Aviation Administration - Airline Certificate Information - Detail View
It's time consuming to assemble all the info, but I find the results are the best way to make career decisions.

You two got off on the wrong foot because you both interpret the phrase "NJA will start upgrades December/January" to be different things.
In the literal sense - yes, we might have some people upgrading.
To an SIC that is looking at 2 decades in the right seat, "start upgrades" means a protracted period of upgrades that could change the lifestyle, income, and career future of hundreds of people.
BUT that isn't happening, so when us SICs hear "start upgrades" we laugh bitterly, then go about the business of updating our applications.
